Making a twist on the super popular Dance and Flight I had a request to add in some Native NZ birds for a splash back design, and the result is Kea Flight & Dance.

The Kea in NZ is known as the Guardian of the Mountain. They are considered in New Zealand to be Kaitiaki which means Guardian, and during the search for Pounamu for the Waitaha iwi, the Kea were said to guard the Mountains.

Kea are a species of Parrot, and if you have spotted one of these in the Milford Sounds or Piopiotahi Marine reserve, you will know they are incredibly beautiful.

Also fun fact they are my son's favourite bird.
